Viral Video Of Teenagers Stops Trucks Until They Are Run Over, Police Intensify Patrols To Prevent

JAKARTA - The last few days have gone viral on social media about a group of teenagers who stopped a truck to get a ride in the Cianjur area. This action caught the attention of cyberspace because it made one person died because he was run over by a truck.

According to police investigations, the incident occurred on Jalan Raya Cianjur-Sukabumi, Warungkondang District, Cianjur, West Java, Friday, September 10. This truck stop behavior was carried out for the needs of video content on social media.

From this action, the police secured the truck driver to serve as a witness. In addition, four of the five children who carried out the ambush have also been investigated.

Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Doni Hermawan said the phenomenon of gangs of teenagers stopping trucks occurred in various areas, even being run over while stopping trucks occurred a lot.

He instructed the entire police station to conduct patrols and disperse the group of teenagers who stopped the truck to get a ride, as an effort to anticipate the occurrence of another victim being run over.

"To anticipate this, we ask the police to increase patrols and immediately disperse a group of youths who were about to stop the truck," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 15.

He added that the Sector Police in their ranks were asked to increase patrols in vulnerable points that are often used as locations for groups of teenagers to stop trucks, such as on Jalan Raya Bandung, East Ring and the Gekbrong-Sukabumi route.

Officers will immediately disperse the group of young people found wandering with the aim of riding trucks in their respective areas.

"If a group of truck stoppers is found, they will be immediately dispersed," he said.

In fact, his party also asked local residents to help the officers by disbanding the group that was going to ride the truck or report it to the authorities for immediate action, so that the incident of the victim being run over while intercepting the truck would no longer occur.

Previously, a teenager died on the spot after being run over by a truck he was trying to stop with some of his friends, so the police are still trying to find the truck driver who fled.

Even the video of the stop action carried out by the teenager in Cianjur was viral and circulated on social media, so the police took various steps so that this desperate incident did not happen again.
