PPKM Continues, Odd-Even License Plate Regulation Will Expand To Tourist Places

JAKARTA - Following the government's policy of extending the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Java and Bali, the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate continues to enforce the odd-even license plate policy on three roads in DKI Jakarta.

The odd-even license plate policy on three roads in Jakarta is valid until September 20. The three roads include Jalan Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin in Central Jakarta, and Jalan Rasuna Said in Kuningan, South Jakarta.

This policy is implemented from 06.00 a.m. to 20.00 p.m. local time.

"Odd-even remains (applicable)", said Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Tuesday, September 14.

For odd-even violators, the police will impose fines, which have been in effect since September 1. In practice, ticketing is done manually or using an electronic ticket or ETLE.

Meanwhile, the police are still reviewing the implementation of the odd-even system in tourist areas. As conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan who said the odd-even system would be implemented in tourist areas on Friday from 12.00 p.m. to Sunday 18.00 p.m.

Following up on this, Sambodo admitted that he would coordinate with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding which tourist attractions have been reopened.
