Last Day Of PPKM Level 3, Jakarta COVID-19 Bed Occupancy Remains 11 Percent

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria explained that the occupancy of COVID-19 isolation beds in Jakarta continues to decline. On the last day of implementing PPKM Level 3, the occupancy has reached 11 percent.

"We are grateful that the beds have fallen again to 11 percent. The BOR (bed occupancy ratio) from 6,721 beds is currently occupied by 780 percent," said Riza at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, January 13.

Then, the ICU bed occupied 23 percent. Of the 1,217 beds provided, currently, 23 percent are occupied.

Last week, as of September 5, the isolation beds were occupied by 14 percent and the ICU by 28 percent.

In the implementation of PPKM Level 3 which ends today, Riza hopes that there will be an easing in the decision to extend the PPKM.

"Hopefully there will be better developments," said Riza.

However, if a number of activities are relaxed, Riza still asks the public to continue to comply with the implementation of health protocols and be aware of the transmission of COVID-19.

"In fact, with this increase in easing, we ask the public to stay at home, carry out the prokes. Because during the easing period, the potential for people to go out of the house increases, the potential for interaction increases, the potential for crowds increases, in the end, the potential for transmission also increases," he said.

Until now, Riza said that his party was still waiting for the announcement of the fate of PPKM in Ibh Kota. It is planned that the central government will announce the extension of the PPKM today.
