Odd-Even Puncak Route Causing Reduced Visits To Safari Park

BOGOR - The visit to Conservation tourism of Indonesian Safari Park (TSI) Cisarua, Bogor, has decreased with the implementation of an integrated odd-even program in the Puncak agglomeration area in September 10-12.

"The effect is there, the number of visitor cars is reduced by about 100 units with an average of four people at this odd-even momentum," said TSI Area General Manager Emeraldo Parengkuan in Cisarua, Bogor, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 12.

Aldo conveyed that the implementation of the odd-even system and the system of opening and closing lanes in the Puncak area had an impact on the queue of visitors' cars when exiting the TSI at the entrance or exit to the intersection of Puncak highway.

With this condition, TSI tries to facilitate free time waiting for the implementation of traffic engineering to break down congestion by providing a Safari Green Food Carnaval.

"This is an outside location, for those who want to go home they can wait here until Puncak highway is a little quiet," he said.

Aldo said TSI has also placed officers to help monitor traffic at the intersection of Puncak highway, by empowering and involving the surrounding community.

"Usually we always get information that traffic is in one direction, the situation is congested, so we can inform visitors here so they can arrange time to go home," said Aldo.

He also explained that TSI already has a number of strategies in providing comfort and efforts to maintain the health of visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The animal conservation site already has a health protocol that has been approved by the government and has also formed a task force to monitor the implementation of the health protocol for its visitors and employees.

"Safari Park is an open tourist spot and visitors have the option to stay in the car, either to see the 3,000 animals there or to buy food and drinks with 'take away' facilities," he said.
