JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) are investigating the order of the inactive Banjarnegara Regent Budhi Sarwono to make requirements for the private sector who wish to receive infrastructure development projects in their area.
This was done by examining the Director of CV Karya Bhakti, Nursidi Budiono on Thursday, September 9 yesterday.
"It is suspected that there was an order from the suspect BS to make arrangements in terms of tender requirements, which must have a letter of recommendation or ready mix support for potential auction winners to work on work packages in Banjarnegara Regency from 2017 to 2018," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri told reporters, Friday, September 10.
Apart from Nursidi, investigators from the anti-corruption commission also investigated three other witnesses, namely the President Director of PT Adi Wijaya, Hadi Suwarno; Director of CV Puri Agung, Siti Rustanti; and PT Bumi Rejo Driver, Mistar.
"The investigative team continues to explore through the statements of these witnesses, among others, regarding the need for support from PT SW (Sambas Wijaya) for bidders who will take part in the auction of work package projects in Banjarnegara Regency," said Ali.
Furthermore, the KPK will also continue to investigate allegations of corruption committed by Budhi Sarwono. This was done by summoning a number of witnesses today, Friday, September 10.
The witnesses called were the Head of the Road and Bridge Maintenance Section of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of the Regency. Banjarnegara, Arif Setyawan; Director of PT Buton Tirto Baskoro, Ari Subagyo; marketing officer at PT Sambas Wijaya, Sapto Bagus Novianto; head of HRD at PT Sambas Wijaya, Joko Purwanto; village assistant and implementer of PT Adi Wijaya in June-December 2015, Jarot Satrio Wibowo; and PT Bumi Rejo driver, Mistar.
"The examination was carried out at the DI Yogyakarta BPKP Representative Building," Ali explained.
As previously reported, Budhi was named a suspect along with Kedy Afandi (KA) who was the former head of his success team during the election. He is alleged to have received a commitment fee of around Rp. 2.1 billion from the contractors.
Not only asking for a fee commitment, Budhi was also named a suspect because he played an active role in the implementation of the tender for infrastructure work. Firli said, the Banjarnegara Regent participated directly in distributing work packages at the PUPR Service, including family companies, and arranging the auction winners.
Meanwhile, Kedy is always monitored and directed by Budhi, especially when making arrangements for the division of work. This is intended so that companies that are members of the Bumi Redjo group can splash out on procurement projects.
