SERANG – W (initials), was arrested by the Serang City police for murdering her own husband, AN (initials), at her home in Masigit Lor Village, Kasemen, Serang City, Banten. The arrest of the woman who had just returned from Saudi Arabia for two months revealed a number of reasons why she refused her husband's invitation to have sex.

To the reporter, the perpetrator told the beginning of the incident. At that time her husband asked her to have sex. However, the perpetrator feels that he has been separated from his husband for 8 years because he works in Saudi Arabia, wants to first question whether his status is still legal or not.

"My husband asked me to do that, but because I haven't seen him for a long time. I said I first asked the ustaz, the kiai, I was afraid it was invalid. Eh, he didn't want to, he was angry,"

The reason his wife wanted to question her marital status to a religious expert made AN feel annoyed. At that time, AN immediately grabbed the perpetrator's hand, pulled him and then banged his head against the wall.

Then the perpetrator tried to defend himself by pressing his husband's neck. However, the husband's life was accidentally lost.

"I was thinking how to let go of my hand, so I just squeezed his neck so I could release his grip, let me go. I don't know, I don't think it died," said the perpetrator.

Serang City Police Chief AKBP Maruli Achilles Hutapea explained, this case was revealed based on the results of the examination and crime scene processing. The perpetrator also admitted all his actions that caused the death of victim A.

Currently, perpetrator W has been languishing in the detention room of the Serang City Police Headquarters, in order to account for his actions.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 44 paragraphs (1) and (3) of Law no. 23 of 2003 concerning Domestic Violence (KDRT).
