Hundreds Of Arrows, Air Rifles And Parangs Seized From The House Of The Wusuma District Head Allegedly Involved In KKB

JAKARTA - The Nemangkawi Task Force confiscated hundreds of arrows when it arrested the head of the Wusama District, Etius Baye, who is said to be the mastermind and financier of the armed criminal group (KKB). The evidence was found at his residence.

"The evidence is 106 arrows, 20 bows, 31 arrows, 9 machetes, 1 knife, 1 air rifle, and so on", said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in his statement, Wednesday, September 1.

The not only evidence in the form of weapons, but the Nemangkawi Task Force also confiscated several other pieces of evidence, such as dozens of cellphones and laptops. The evidence is believed to belong to a KKB member who was at the residence of Etius Baye.

"There are 26 cell phones, 1 digital camera, 2 radios, 13 wallets, 4 laptops, 4 backpacks, and some clothes", said Kamal.

The confiscation of the evidence resulting from the arrests of Etius Baye (EB), Herson Heluka, Yem Baye aka Umbai, and Yaluk Heluka. They are suspects in the murder case of two PT Indo Papua, on August 22, 2021.

"We have named Etius Baye, Herson Heluka, Yem Baye aka Umbai, and Yaluk Heluka as suspects of premeditated murder who are part of the KKB Group, which in recent times has often carried out terrorist acts in Yahukimo", said Kamal.

Previously, the Nemangkawi Law Enforcement Task Force arrested EB, the Head of Wusama District, Yahukimo Regency, for allegedly being involved in an armed criminal group (KKB) which often spreads terror acts in the area.

In addition to capturing EB, the team also arrested three other people, namely EH, Y, and YH. The four people were arrested Friday, August 27 at EB's home.
