The Salary Of The Deputy Chairperson Of The KPK, Lili Pintauli, Was Only Cut By IDR 1.8 Million Per Month, The Reporter Was Disappointed

JAKARTA - The former Director of Inter-Commission and Agency Network Development (PJKAKI) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Sujanarko, admitted that he was disappointed with the decision of the KPK Supervisory Board which only imposed a sanction of 40 percent of basic salary cuts for a year against KPK Deputy Chair, Lili Pintauli Siregar.

Sujanarko, who has now retired, along with two inactive KPK investigators, Novel Baswedan and Rizka Anungata, are reporters of Lili's alleged violations.

"(The decision of the KPK Supervisory Board, ed) is very, very disappointing. It is only IDR 1.8 million per month", said Sujanarko to VOI, Monday, August 30.

For information, Government Regulation No. 82 of 2015 regulates the basic salary of the Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia at IDR 4,620,000,000 and the total salary paid reaches IDR 89,459,000 million per month. Thus, the decision of the Supervisory Board only deducted IDR 1.8 million from the basic salary that Lili received.

Furthermore, Sujanarko is also disappointed that the KPK Supervisory Board did not increase Lili's sentence even though she does not regret her actions. So, according to him, the decision of Tumpak Hatorangan et al has weakened the KPK.

"(Doesn't regret her actions, ed) this is not used as a ballast and with all her victories at the KPK even though it is proven to have violated serious ethics, the Council will have a contribution to weaken the KPK", he said.

Previously reported, the KPK Supervisory Board found Lili guilty and violated the code of ethics because she was in contact with the litigant, namely the inactive Tanjungbalai Mayor M Syahrial.

He was declared to have violated the code of ethics and code of conduct in the form of abusing the influence of the KPK leadership for personal interests and dealing directly with parties whose cases are being handled by the KPK as regulated in Article 4 Paragraph 2 Letter b and Dewas Regulation No. 2 of 2020.

"Try and declare the examinee Lili Pintauli Siregar guilty of violating the code of ethics and behavioral guidelines in the form of abuse of influence as a KPK leader for personal interests and dealing with parties whose cases are being handled", said Tumpak when reading the verdict.

Furthermore, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Board sentenced Lili to severe sanctions in the form of a year's salary deduction.

"Punishing the examinee with severe sanctions in the form of cutting her basic salary by 40 percent for 12 months", said Tumpak.

There are two things that incriminate Lili so that she was sentenced. He is said to have shown no remorse for her actions and did not set an example and role model as a KPK leader.
