DKI Makes Feasibility Study To Realize Construction Of KRL Station At Jakarta International Stadium

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan wants a KRL station near the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Papanggo, North Jakarta.

Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that Anies had sent a letter of proposal for the construction of the station to the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, last June.

After that, the discussion of the station construction plan was carried out. The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation will realize if DKI makes a feasibility study for the construction of a KRL station with the JIS Stadium.

"To be able to go there (the construction of the station), there must be a feasibility study that is currently being prepared by colleagues from JIS. I have also written to PT Jakpro to complete the study", Syafrin told reporters, Friday, August 27.

Syafrin said that later the KRL station would be built on the KRL route between Kampung Bandan Station and Tanjung Priok Station. Thus, additional railroads do not need to be built.

"The KRL infrastructure already exists. The JIS squeeze is on the side of the KRL rail from Kampung Bandan - Tanjung Priok/Kota - Tanjung Priok. It's just a matter of building a KRL station near the JIS", said Syafrin.

In addition, Syafrin said there would be transportation facilities Another thing that reaches the international standard stadium is the addition of the Transjakarta and LRT Jakarta routes which are still in the planning stage.

"All this will be done by integrating services with other transportation modes. We also want to open Transjakarta corridor 14 Senen - JIS and corridor 15 Pulo Gebang - JIS. There will also be a Kelapa Gading-JIS LRT service", explained Syafrin.
