Two Neighborhoods In Mataram Still In The COVID-19 Red Zone

MATARAM - The Mataram City Health Office, West Nusa Tenggara Province said, out of 325 neighborhoods in the city, only 2 are still in the red zone for the spread of COVID-19.

Head of the Mataram City Health Office, Dr. H Usman Hadi, said that the two neighborhoods that were still in the red zone were Asaha and Gria Pagutan Indah.

"According to the data as of August 16, 2021, there are four neighborhoods that are still in the red zone, now thank God the remaining two are", he said in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Thursday, August 26.

It is said, the environment is included in the red zone category because it has residents who have confirmed positive for COVID-19 with more than five cases and are currently monitored by two health centers, namely Tanjung Karang and Karang Pule health centers.

Meanwhile, about 60 percent of the 325 neighborhoods in Mataram City have the status of a COVID-19 green zone, the rest are categorized as yellow and orange zones for COVID-19 transmission.

"For neighborhoods with red zones, various interventions are currently being carried out in collaboration with the village and the head of the local environment", he said.

Intervention, he said, in addition to monitoring efforts through the medical team from each of the nearest public health centers, also carried out outreach and education efforts to the public regarding the implementation of health protocols as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"For residents who are self-isolating, we attach stickers to facilitate handling and supervision by residents", he said.

It is hoped that through these efforts, the four neighborhoods with red zones can soon become green zone environments for the spread of COVID-19.

For the orange and yellow zone environments, village officials and the environment are asked to continue to increase prevention efforts so that they can increase to the green zone.

"Hopefully, the green zone environment can maintain the various prevention efforts that have been carried out", he said.

Based on data from the NTB Province COVID-19 alert team, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 39 additional COVID-19 patients for Mataram City and 69 COVID-19 patients were declared cured and four patients died. 403 people, a total of 5,978 recovered, 217 people died, out of a total of 6,598 cases.
