The former chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) said that Tommy Soeharto currently has a debt to the state of up to IDR 2.6 trillion. But this amount, said Mahfud, is not too big considering there are also BLBI debtors and obligors whose debts reach tens of trillions.
"So all of them will be summoned. There are those in Singapore, Bali, Medan we all call and all have to pay to the state because this is people's money", he said.
Furthermore, Mahfud reminded all obligors and debtors to cooperate when summoned by the BLBI Task Force. This is because this case can lead to criminal law even though the government is trying to resolve it in a civil manner.
Moreover, Mahfud has summoned a number of high-ranking law enforcement officers such as Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chair Firli Bahuri, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to be on the lookout if any party is absent when called upon to account for their debts.
