JAKARTA - The distribution of social assistance to 328 villages in 40 Jayawijaya districts is running safely and reaches the recipients. This was conveyed by the Jayawijaya Police Chief, Polda Papua AKBP Muh Safei A B.

Safei said that every police distribution carried out surveillance. Because social assistance is the right of the recipient community. Based on supervision, all social assistance is safe.

"Until today the distribution is correct. The problem is the dualism of the village head's decree that has not been revoked. The first decree is for person A, the second is for person B, so he took it based on that. So this was a conflict but it was mediated so that it could be resolved ," said Safei in Wamena, the capital of Jayawijaya Regency, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, August 24.

He also confirmed that there were no reports or findings of embezzlement of social assistance. If there are reports of alleged criminal acts of distribution, the police will carry out further investigations.

"If there is a criminal element, then we will carry out an examination. But in this case we do not prioritize the interests of the investigation, we prioritize the goods being able to reach the public. But how does the item reach the community," he said. Head of Criminal Investigation at the Jayawijaya Police, Iptu Mattinetta, said that members were still being dispatched to oversee the distribution stages, both rice aid and funds for communities in the city center to the outskirts of the district. The last supervision carried out was on the distribution of rice.

"Based on information from Perum Bulog Wamena, the allocation of PPKM rice assistance for the second channel in 2021 Jayawijaya is 342 tons 450 kilos which is intended for 34,245 KPM recorded from 40 districts and 328 villages," he said.

He said the distribution of the PPKM rice social assistance had been completed because it was carried out from August 3 to August 20, 2021.

"Perum Bulog has distributed PPKM rice assistance in accordance with the allocation value received by KPM PKH from Jayawijaya Regency as much as 342 tons 450 kilos to 34,245 PKH KPM recorded," he said.

The police will ask for data from third parties and PKH operators in each district to match the data related to the distribution of the second channel PPKM rice social assistance that has been carried out.
