Police Confirm Two Bridge Workers Killed By KKB Papua

JAYAPURA - Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri confirmed the shooting incident of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) on Sunday afternoon at around 16.30 WIT. In that incident, two workers who built a bridge on the Brazza river, Kribun Village, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua were killed.

Quoting Antara, the two victims who died were Rionaldo Raturoma and Dedi Imam Pamuji. The victim is an employee of PT Indo Papua who is building a bridge on the Brazza river. The location of the incident is about 10 KM from the camp belonging to PT Indo Papua.

"It is true that there are reports of the killing of two employees, but the full report is still waiting from the Chief of the Yahukimo Police because the members are still at the crime scene," said Inspector General of Police Fakhiri, Sunday, August 22.

The head of the National Road Development Center (BPJN) Wamena Zepnath Kambu, who was contacted from Jayapura, acknowledged that there was information about the incident but there had been no official report.

"The information does exist but we are still waiting for a report from Dekai," admitted Zapnath Kambu.
