Through Population Identification Number, Dukcapil Can Know There Are Social Assistance Recipients Use Cars

JAKARTA - The Director-General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, said that the Population Identification Number (NIK) was able to check whether government assistance for the poor, including social assistance, was on target or not.

This is because several ministries/agencies have begun to match or check their data with the NIK data held by the Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"If we see that there is an integration process between ministries/agencies that organize social programs or other NIK-based programs, for example from the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Religion, the Ministry of Education and Culture. We have then carried out matching and matching of these data", said Zudan in an online discussion broadcast on KPK RI YouTube, Thursday, August 19.

From this data, usually, the system will know if it turns out that the recipients of social assistance are often those who do not need assistance because they are not poor people. "We can see in our system that this one resident has a car, what kind of help, what kind of help. It can already be seen", said Zudan.

He said the Dukcapil and ministries/agencies related to the provision of assistance would sort out which people really needed help. Moreover, during this time it often happens that people who actually kiss because they have two motorized vehicles actually get a lot of help from the government.

"For example, they have two motorized vehicles, one motorbike, and one car, but receives PKH, PBI, BPJS Kesehatan assistance (Program assistance), they enter DTKS (Integrated Social Welfare Data), and also receives PLN electricity subsidies", he said.

"Well, we'll also see that he received PKH, PBI, entered DTKS, he was also BPNT (Non-Cash Food Aid), social assistance for rice and so on", added Zudan.

In the future, Dukcapil together with relevant ministries/agencies will continue to develop a system that can sort out these kinds of things. The goal is that the assistance provided can reach those who really need it.

"Later we can continue to implement a system that can sort and choose so that there is accuracy or more accuracy in the provision of social assistance. But of course, this needs all of our help", he concluded.
