Fake Vaccine And Rapid Test Certificates, 2 Drivers At Gilimanuk Harbor Arrested

JEMBRANA - Two drivers who were transporting passengers from Bali to Java were arrested by the Jembrana Police, Bali. Both were arrested for making a rapid test letter and fake vaccines to get the passengers through.

The perpetrators named Supriadi Holifin (28) and Abdul Halim (28) were arrested at Gilimanuk Harbor, Jembrana Regency, Bali while carrying passengers.

"In the case of a criminal act, a falsified health certificate was made", said Jembrana Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner, I Ketut Gede Adi Wibawa, at the Jembrana Police Headquarters, Bali, Wednesday, August 18.

The perpetrator was arrested on a different day. The perpetrator Supriadi Holifin was arrested on Tuesday, August 17, and the perpetrator Abdul Halim today. The two perpetrators escaped the passengers by using other people's ID cards and vaccine letters.

"These two drivers have prepared other people's ID cards and vaccine letters which will be given to the passengers to escape the passengers and trick the inspection officers at the Gilimanuk ferry port", added AKBP Adi Wibawa.

Meanwhile, the evidence includes six ID cards, three vaccine proof sheets, three rapid test letters, crossing tickets, IDR 400 thousand in cash, and one mobile phone. In addition, the rapid test letters and fake vaccines had all been prepared by the two suspects before passengers boarded travel.

The police will develop the case. The police chief appealed to the public not to do things that violate the law, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 situation.

"Follow the rules according to the applicable procedures and don't be easily influenced to make a fake vaccine certificate so that it can be passed", he said.

Meanwhile, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 263 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code or Article 268 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code or Article 14 paragraph 1 of Law no. 4 of 1984 concerning outbreaks of infectious diseases with a penalty of 6 years in prison.
