Twice Losing A Motorcycle In A Year, Ciracas Residents Ask Police To Take Serious Action

JAKARTA - The theft of a motorcycle in Ciracas, East Jakarta, was again caught on CCTV cameras. The two perpetrators were classified as reckless because they acted during the day.

The incident occurred in front of the shophouse belonging to the victim, on Jalan Darusalam, Rawa Babhon, Kelapa Dua Wetan, Ciracas, East Jakarta. From the CCTV footage, it can be seen that two perpetrators monitored the situation first. After making sure it was safe, the perpetrator broke the ignition of the vehicle that was parked in front of the house.

It didn't take long, the perpetrator was able to rob the victim's motorbike that was parked in front of his shop. In fact, both of them were desperate to launch an action during the day.

Ade Darma Wijaya, the owner of the motorbike, said that he only realized his vehicle was missing when he was about to go by motorbike. It is suspected that the perpetrators acted with the letter T key.

"It happened at 11 pm. At first I was on the top, because the house was installed with CCTV, when I wanted to take the motorbike it turned out that my motorbike was no longer there," he told reporters, Friday, August 13.

30 minutes later, he continued, the victim checked the CCTV. Sure enough, the perpetrator's actions have been caught on surveillance cameras.

"The perpetrator had time to play around because he still saw that there was a PPSU (cleaning officer) and he was spying on the motorbike when it was quiet. This incident has happened twice before, I lost my motorbike before Eid," he said.

Apart from him, another victim's neighbor had also lost his motorbike 3 times. The incident happened in the last 2 months.

"I have reported it to the Ciracas Police. Hopefully my motorbike can be returned," he said.

Until now, the case is still being handled by the Ciracas Police for further investigation.
