13 COVID-19 Patients Died In One Day In Gorontalo

GORONTALO - Data from the Gorontalo Provincial Health Office said as many as 13 people died due to exposure to COVID-19.

Head of the Health Service, Yana Yanti Suleman, said the total new cases on Tuesday, August 10 reached 206 people, 222 people recovered. Then 13 people died, and 28 people were treated.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Gorontalo since the beginning of the pandemic to date is 9,623 people, with 7,696 people recovering, 305 deaths, 1,622 people still undergoing treatment.

"All regencies and cities in Gorontalo are in the red zone or at high risk of COVID-19 transmission", she said as quoted by Antara.

Meanwhile, based on the observation of the atmosphere in Gorontalo City, a number of roads seemed quieter than the previous day.

Shopping centers and malls are empty of visitors, but a number of cafes and food stalls are still busy with shoppers.

Previously, Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie asked the public to comply with health protocols, especially wearing masks.

"The level of adherence to using masks in Gorontalo is very low, so please follow the procedure. This is all for mutual safety. Currently the hospital is almost full, so stay away from crowds and keep your distance", she said.

Regarding vaccination, the Governor asked the village heads and sub-district heads to regularly report on vaccination developments in their respective areas.

Reporting is done through Google forms, which can be monitored every day and evaluated every week.
