Odd-Even In Jakarta Applies Again, Deputy Governor Of DKI: Previously Effective

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government and the Metro Jaya Regional Police have again implemented odd-even in several sections of the Jakarta area. Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, considers odd-even to be effective in suppressing mobility.

"In the past, 2020 was effective. This is odd or even try", said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 10.

Odd-even starts from 12-16 August 2021, from 06.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB. The Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, appealed to the public not to carry out mobility if there is no urgent need.

"We will re-impose Traffic Restriction Areas with an Odd-Even System on certain road sections. We also urge the public not to carry out unnecessary mobility, except for those that are urgent and follow health protocols", said Syafrin.

Traffic Director of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, said that this odd-even scheme would also be implemented on Sudirman Street, MH Thanrin Street, Merdeka Barat Street, Majapahit Street, Gajah Mada Street, Hayam Wuruk Street, Pintu Besar Selatan Street, and Gatot Subroto Street.

Then for the second scheme by patrolling for a full 24 hours. There are at least 20 areas that are included in the list of officers' political parties.

These areas include, along Sudirman-Thamrin Street, along Sabang Street, along Bulungan Street, along Asia Afrika-Tanjakan Ladogi Street, East Flood Canal, Kota Tua area, Kelapa Gading area, and Kemang Raya Street.

Then, the Al Akbar Mosque area of Kemayoran, Sunter, Jatinegara, Pintu 1 TMII Street, PIK, Tanah Abang Market, Senen Market, Raya Bogor Street, Maujen Sutoyo Street (Cawang PGC), Otista-Dewi Sartika, Warung Buncit-Mampang Prapatan, and the last is Ciledug Raya.
