COVID-19 Update As Of August 10: New Cases 32,081, Accumulated 3,718,821 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 241,152 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 32,081 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 3,718,821 people and 437,055 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, August 10.

Today's recovered cases increased by 41,486 cases, bringing the total to 3,171,147 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2,048 people and a total of 110,619 people.

The province with the newest cases was in Central Java with 4,560 cases and a total of 423,916 cases. Followed by West Java which has 4,163 new cases with a total of 643,567 cases. East Java has 3,618 new cases and a total of 342,857 cases. Then, North Sumatra has 1,753 new cases and a total of 74,637 cases

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 7,441 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 6,352 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 4,471 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 2,648 recovered cases.

No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 28,375,545.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 26.37 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 273,575 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 51,195,236 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 24,897,580 of the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
