The police arrested a man named Aldy Dwi Dermawan (28) who was suspected of raping his stepdaughter, RD (14) up to 7 times at his home in the Pasar Minggu area, South Jakarta (Jaksel).

Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Nurma Dewi, said the perpetrator was arrested at his home on Saturday, March 15, yesterday.

"Secured yesterday," said Nurma when confirmed, Sunday, March 16.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother, S, recounted the process of arresting her husband.

It started when he reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police, last Sunday, March 10. However, at that time the police asked not to take immediate action, so that the perpetrators would not run away.

"So where is the police asking the perpetrator? I said, at home, he said don't act yet, wait for the results of the post-mortem, all for evidence," said S.

After that, he reported to his extended family to the RT not to take any action, in order to prevent the perpetrators from escaping.

"Residents of all RTs also know, I am in the RT report, whether it can control the RT, can help everyone from the alley here and here, I have controlled it so it doesn't leak out," he said.

Long story short, on Saturday, March 15, early in the morning, suddenly there were residents together with members of the police and Babinsa to their homes. They wanted to pick up the perpetrators.

Residents who were furious at the time wanted to beat the perpetrators, but were thwarted by the police. Because, the police immediately secured and took him to the South Jakarta Metro Police.

"So his biological father was upset, he reported it. Because he wanted the perpetrators to be arrested immediately so they wouldn't run away," said S.

"Continue to be brought by the police. If there are no police, the perpetrators already don't know what will happen later," he continued.
