Violating The Community Activity Restrictions Rules, 4 Street Food Stall Owners In Denpasar Will Be Tried

DENPASAR - The Judiciary Team for Denpasar City, Bali, again conducted level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) discipline. The team found that business actors and street food stall owners were still open past operating hours.

Denpasar City Police Chief I Dewa Gede Anom Sayoga said the disciplinary activities were carried out on Monday, August 9 by a joint team.

"The team moved from Resort Police (Polresta) to Jalan Gunung Agung, Jalan Setiabudi, Jalan Gatot Subroto Barat, Jalan Kebo Iwa and returned to Polresta", Sayoga said, Tuesday, August 10.

The team carried out enforcement and guidance to five business actors, namely Jinggo Rice merchants along Setiabudi Street and one minimarket business on Jalan Gunung Agung. As well as summoning the owners of two street food stall businesses on Jalan Gatot Subroto Barat to participate in the investigation process.

"The action against the 5 business actors is because they violate the PPKM provisions, namely opening stalls more than the stipulated operating hours (10 hours)", he said.

Meanwhile, the summons to two street food stall business owners on Jalan Gatot Subroto Barat was carried out because they violated Denpasar City Regulation No. 1 of 2015 concerning public order.

In the Regional Regulation, it has been stipulated that it is not allowed to sell on the road. In addition, they sell more than the set operating hours.

Head of Civil service police (Kasatpol PP) said that disciplinary activities for Emergency Level 4 PPKM will continue to be carried out, to suppress the transmission of COVID-19. In that discipline, his party also appealed to the public to always obey the health protocols.

"They have violated the Regional Regulation, to provide a deterrent effect, the next step will be a minor criminal trial", said Sayoga.
