Hospitals In Bogor Start Dismantling Emergency Tents After Lower BOR Rate

BOGOR - A number of hospitals (RS) in Bogor Regency, West Java dismantled emergency tents as the bed occupancy rate (BOR) decreased.

"There are already some who have dismantled emergency tents because our BOR numbers tend to continue to decline", said Bogor Regent Ade Yasin, who is also the head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Task Force, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 9.

Hospitals that were recorded to have dismantled emergency tents, including the Ciawi Regional General Hospital (RSUD) and Hermina Cileungsi Hospital.

Since the second wave of transmission of COVID-19 cases in July 2021, the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Task Force noted that many emergency tents were set up, namely in 13 locations due to the high occupancy rate of inpatient beds at that time.

Now the BOR of hospital beds in Bogor Regency is at 51.72 percent of the total availability of 1.808 beds. The figure gradually declined after briefly peaking to 97 percent in July 2021.

Ade Yasin said the use of intensive care rooms or ICUs in Bogor Regency also continues to decline. The ICU BOR was 76.67 percent, a decrease when compared to the occupancy rate in the past week which was still above 88 percent of the total availability of 150 beds.

The bed occupancy rate at the two COVID-19 patient isolation centers belonging to the Bogor Regency Government continues to decline. The isolation center in Cibogo, Puncak Bogor area is now only inhabited by one person out of total availability of 60 beds.

Meanwhile, the isolation center in Kemang, Bogor, which is the Wisma Ministry of Home Affairs building, is now only inhabited by eight people out of total availability of 84 beds.
