JAKARTA - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found that DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was still paying KJP Plus (Smart Jakarta Card) educational assistance to thousands of KJP Plus recipients who had graduated from school.
This was conveyed through a report on the results of the examination of the 2020 DKI Provincial Government financial statements which were approved by the Head of the DKI Supreme Audit Agency, Pemut Aryo Wibowo.
Pemut said that the DKI Provincial Government distributed KJP Plus to a total of 870,565 recipient students in the distribution of KJP Plus phase I. Then, DKI distributed KJP Plus phase II to 849,291 students. Both are contained in the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta.
However, it turns out that 1,145 students from the KJP Plus recipients have graduated from school and they are still receiving the 2020 KJP Plus phase II from the DKI Provincial Government. The value is IDR 2.3 billion.

"Supposedly, student data (already graduated) in the SK KJP Plus stage I should not be re-recorded in the SK KJP Plus stage II for the academic year July to December 2020 because the student should have ended the academic year until June in the distribution of KJP Plus funds stage I", said Pemut in the examination report quoted on Friday, August 6.
Pemut assessed that there was a weakness in the data collection of KJP Plus recipients that did not match the class conditions of the students, thus causing some students who were not entitled to receive education assistance funds.
"Due to the inaccuracy of this target, KJP Plus funds worth IDR 2,321,280,000 should be withdrawn and deposited into the regional treasury because it is not by the conditions of the student class", said Pemut.
Furthermore, BPK recommended that Anies instruct the Head of the DKI Education Office to update and verify the data on KJP Plus (Smart Jakarta Card) and KJMU (Excellent Student Jakarta Card) recipients with DKI bank schools.
