JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that there are three groups that are excluded from the regulation, they must have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition for carrying out activities in Jakarta.

This is stated in the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Number 966 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Level 4 COVID-19 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) which is valid until August 9, 2021.

In the Governor's Decree, everyone who will carry out activities in every place or sector that has been determined must have been vaccinated against COVID-19, at least the first dose.

There are parties who are excluded from the regulation, namely people who have recently recovered from COVID-19, residents who cannot be vaccinated due to certain medical conditions, and children under the age of 12.

"Except, for residents who are still within a grace period of 3 months after being confirmed with COVID-19, can show evidence of laboratory results, and residents who are contraindicated for COVID-19 vaccination based on the results of medical examinations can show evidence of a doctor's certificate, as well as children under the age of 12 years", said Anies in his statement, Thursday, August 5.

There are also rules for vaccination requirements applied to employees and visitors to restaurants, food stalls, offices, malls, traditional markets, salons, hotels, places of worship, to wedding guests.

"Before the activity starts, the actors in that sector, the actors of the activities must be vaccinated first. So, for example, a barber who wants to open, they may. But the barber must be vaccinated first, and those who want to shave must have been vaccinated first. If restaurants want to open, they must vaccinate the employees first, and those who want to eat in restaurants must also have the vaccine", he said.

Not only that, said Anies, non-essential offices that want to carry out work from office (WFO), shopping centers, entertainment venues may also open if they have been vaccinated. Thus, the opening stage is accompanied by the necessity to vaccinate all actors.
