Standing In The Middle Of A Toll Road, A Man Is Killed By A Minibus

Jakarta - Police officers are conducting an investigation into the hit-and-run incident around the Cilandak Utama Toll Gate, South Jakarta on Wednesday morning.

Head of the South Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit, AKP Suharno confirmed the incident. And his party is currently investigating the minibus driver.

"Yes, a pedestrian whose identity has not been identified died after being hit by a minibus. The incident occurred when the victim was standing in the middle of the road", said AKP Suharno when contacted by reporters, Wednesday, August 4.

The victim suffered several injuries all over his body and died at the scene. AKP Suharno further explained that the accident began when the minibus vehicle, whose license plate was unknown, was traveling from north to south on Desari Toll Road, Cilandak.

"We are still chasing the driver of the minibus that hit the pedestrian. The victim is a victim of a hit and run. The case is still under investigation by the South Jakarta Police Traffic Unit", he concluded.
