COVID-19 Cases In Lampung Increase By 599 People

BANDAR LAMPUNG - The Lampung Health Office noted that there were 599 positive COVID-19 patients in the province, with Pringsewu Regency and Bandarlampung City being the largest contributors.

"There are 14 regions that have contributed to COVID-19 cases, of which 108 patients from Pringsewu and 101 people from Bandarlampung City", said the Head of the Lampung Health Service, Reihana in Bandarlampung, quoted by Antara, August 3.

Then COVID-19 patients from areas such as East Lampung Regency amounted to 88 people, South Lampung 74, Tanggamus 42, West Lampung 42, Waykanan 42, Tulangbawang 33, Pesawaran 19, Central Lampung 17, West Lampung 11, Mesuji 4, Pesisir Barat 1 and Metro City 17 people.

The Head of the health office said with the addition of 599 new cases, the total number of people who had been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the province was 36,419.

"Of the 599 COVID-19 patients, 407 are new cases and 192 are results from searches. Then there are 212 who are undergoing treatment and 387 who are undergoing self-isolation", he said.

Meanwhile, patients who were declared cured of COVID-19 in Lampung also experienced an increase of 429 so that the total number of people who have finished isolation is 27,804.

"The recovery cases came from Bandar Lampung 100, South Lampung 75, Pringsewu 62, East Lampung 52, Pesisir Barat 39, Metro 31, Pesawaran 28, Tulang Bawang Barat 20, Tanggamus 12, Waykanan six and Mesuji 4", he said.

Meanwhile, the number of cases of death due to COVID-19 has also increased by 59 patients, bringing the total to 2,352 people who have died due to being infected with the Coronavirus.

"This death case comes from Bandar Lampung with 13 people, Pringsewu 12 people, East Lampung six patients, South Lampung five, Tulang Bawang 5, Tulang Bawang Barat four, Central Lampung three, Metro two, Tanggamus 2, Mesuji 1 and Waykanan one", he said.

Meanwhile, of the 15 regencies/cities in Lampung Province, 13 regions have the status of red zones for the spread of COVID-19, namely, Bandarlampung, Metro, North Lampung, Central Lampung, East Lampung, South Lampung, West Lampung, West Coast, Tanggamus, Pringsewu, Pesawaran, Tulang Bawang and Tulang Bawang Barat.

Meanwhile, two other regencies/cities namely Mesuji and Waykanan have the status of an orange zone.
