JAKARTA - Senyum Army, a fan community for the K-pop idol group BTS, held a vaccination program targeting more than 10 thousand participants at the Jakarta Convention Center Hall A and B, today. The vaccination program is the result of collaboration with Gojek through one of its services, GoTix, and Metro Jaya Police.
Activities are carried out not only for the Army (as BTS fans) but also the general public. Thousands of doses of Sinovac vaccine will be provided to people aged 12 years and over on this occasion.
"Senyum Army supports the government's vaccination acceleration program. In addition, we want to spread the mission of both vaccinations so that Army soldiers and their families and friends can be protected during this pandemic," said Army Smile representative, Selly Wilson in an official statement on Saturday, quoted by Antara.
Selly said that at the vaccination center, Senyum Army also displayed an exhibition installation entitled "Stay Gold is for The Vaccinated".
This exhibition was inspired by BTS' music video titled "Stay Gold". At the art installation, participants can look around and take selfies for memories.
"In addition, we will play BTS concert videos in the observation room to entertain participants who have been vaccinated," said Selly.
Selly hopes that this vaccination can break the chain of the spread of the COVID-19 virus so that people can return to their normal activities.
