JAKARTA - The Bogor City Government supports the central government's policy of extending the implementation of level 4 community activity restrictions (PPKM).

The Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, in Bogor City, Monday, said that based on the announcement from the central government on the extension of PPKM level 4 there were several adjustments to the rules that were applied.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, stated that in Java and Bali, there were 95 regencies and cities in the level 4 category and 35 districts and cities in the level 3 category.

Previously, President Joko Widodo announced the extension of PPKM level 4, for eight days, starting Monday today until Monday, August 1 by imposing several regulatory adjustments.

"We will make some adjustments related to community activities and mobility which will be carried out in stages with extra careful implementation," said President Joko Widodo in the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, on Sunday, July 25 evening.

According to the President, during the extension period of PPKM level 4, food stalls, street vendors, hawker stalls, or other business places in open spaces are allowed to open and visitors are allowed to eat in places with a limited time.

"It is allowed to open until 20:00 western Indonesia time by implementing strict health protocols and eating time for each visitor is a maximum of 20 minutes," he said.

Then, people's markets that sell daily basic necessities are allowed to open as usual with strict health protocols, while people's markets that sell other than daily basic needs are allowed to open with a maximum capacity of 50 percent until 15.00 western Indonesia time.

Street vendors (PKL), grocery stores, voucher agents or outlets, barbershops, laundry, hawkers, small workshops, vehicle washers, and other similar small businesses are allowed to open with strict health protocols until 21.00 western Indonesia time.

The President invited all parties to comply with PPKM level 4 rules by being disciplined in implementing health protocols starting from wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance.
