Cianjur Regency Government Requires All ASN To Set Aside 2.5 Percent Of Income To Help People Affected By COVID-19

CIANJUR - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, requires all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to set aside 2.5 percent of their salary to help residents affected by COVID-19. The funds collected will be distributed to residents in various regions.

The Regional Secretary of Cianjur, Cep Alamsyah, said that there were no ASN cuts during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they are required to set aside 2.5 percent of their income which will be focused on helping to ease the burden on the residents.

"Every month ASN sets aside a portion of their income to donate, where the collected funds will later be used to help people affected during the pandemic, but the plan will be first brought together with ASN", he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 15.

His party noted that the number of ASN in Cianjur reached 12,000 people, most of whom were education staff or teachers, the amount of their salary per month depending on the group ranging from IDR 2.5 million per month to IDR 5.9 million per month.

"After the meeting and agreement, we, together with the relevant agencies and agencies, will immediately distribute the collected money, whether it will be in the form of cash or non-cash assistance, depending on the results of the meeting", he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cianjur Regional Personnel, Education and Training Agency (BKPPD), Budi Rahayu Toyib, said the total ASN as of July 2021 was 12,219 people, with details of 10,888 ASN and 1,331 PPKK, dominated by positions as education staff from elementary to high school levels.

As for the amount of ASN salaries, he said, referring to the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia number 15 of 2019 concerning the eighteenth amendment to government regulation number 7 of 1977 concerning the regulation of salaries for civil servants.

"For group I, it ranges from IDR 2.3 million to IDR 2.6 million per month, class II from IDR 3.3 million to IDR 3.8 million per month, class III from IDR 4.2 million to IDR 4.7 per month, and class IV. from IDR 5 million to IDR 5.9 million per month", he said.

Every month, he said, ASN in Cianjur is required to set aside their collected income to help others, including the local government's plan to focus the funds set aside 2.5 percent of all ASN to help residents affected by the pandemic.
