Seriously! Bed Capacity In 7 COVID-19 Referral Hospitals In Jayapura City Is 100 Percent Filled, 5 Districts Still In Red Zone

PAPUA - The bed capacity or bed occupation rate (BOR) at seven COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jayapura City, Papua has reached 100 percent.

"It is true that there is currently a surge in COVID-19 cases, so it is hoped that the public will tighten health protocols", said the Spokesman for the Jayapura City COVID-19 Prevention and Handling Task Force, Dr. Nyoman Antari, reported Antara, Tuesday, July 13.

As of Sunday, July 11, cumulatively, there were 9,944 people infected with COVID. Cases recovered reached 92.2 percent or 9,166 people and 178 people died. Meanwhile, 600 people are being treated.

Currently, the five districts in Jayapura are categorized as red zones. In LPMP Building Kotaraja, 193 people are treated, including 28 children and 52 people who do not have an ID card from Jayapura City.

The target for vaccine coverage is 270,439 people and 33,718 people have received vaccines 1 and 2.

"Currently, the TNI-Polri are intensively vaccinating residents by visiting them", said Nyoman Antari.

Seven hospitals in Jayapura City that have become COVID-19 referrals include Jayapura Hospital, Provita Hospital, Marthen Indey Hospital, Naval Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital, Dian Harapan Hospital and Abepura Hospital.
