SUMUT - The Central Tapanuli Regency Government, North Sumatra has prepared 200 rooms for isolation to anticipate a spike in COVID-19 positive patients in the area.

The Regent of Central Tapanuli, Bakhtiar Ahmad Sibarani, in Pandan said his party had prepared 200 isolation rooms spread across several areas in the district.

"The goal is as a form of anticipation if the number of patients increases, so that there is no omission or neglect", he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 7.

The location prepared is the Central Tapanuli District Nursing Academy building, at Pandan Hospital, Pinangsori Education and Training Office, Hotel Kalangan. Even if it is lacking, other offices including the Pandan Multipurpose Building will be prepared.

"I make sure that this week everything has been completed. And there is no shortage of places and medicines for patients. We have prepared everything, starting from medicines, oxygen, and medical personnel. The Central Tapanuli COVID-19 Task Force will continue to work and conduct raids to increase the number of patients. doesn't add up", he said.

As for the financing for COVID-19 patients, he emphasized, everything was borne by the Central Tapanuli Regional Budget.

"For COVID-19 patients, the costs are accommodated in the Central Tapanuli Regional Budget, we used to do that too. So people don't be afraid and I make sure of that", he said.
