JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan continues to 'patrol' ensuring all provisions for emergency PPKM including work from home 100 percent for non-essential and non-critical companies.

On the street of Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Anies stopped the vehicle of a worker who was supposed to be working from home.

Governor Anies then asked the worker to contact the boss in his office for permission to stay at home during the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

"Where are you going, father?" Anies said to a vehicle driver while inspecting the blocking post in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 7.

"Want to work sir," replied the driver.

Anies then asked the driver to call his boss at the office to ask for permission to work at home for the sake of mutual health.

"Why don't you just stay at home, call your boss saying 'ask the Governor of DKI, the Kapolda and the Regional Commander to tell you to stay home for mutual health'," said Anies

The driver was asked to take a photo with Anies. Then Anies asked the driver to turn the vehicle around to go home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of Emergency PPKM on the Java-Bali Island on July 3-20.

Anies together with the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran and the Regional Military Commander Maj. Gen. Mulyo Aji inspected the Emergency PPKM blocking post in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Ady Wibowo said the traffic seemed to be light and the public had begun to understand the government's policies on the fifth day of Emergency PPKM.

The three-pillar personnel also screened motorcyclists and car drivers and urged people who passed by to bring their identity cards or work IDs.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Mayor Uus Kuswanto hopes that officers will remain solid while on duty and will not stop educating the public regarding the Emergency PPKM policy.
