JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, advised the Indonesian people to keep their hearts from misbehaving towards others. Moreover, in the midst of the raging COVID-19 pandemic with many deaths.

The Deputy Chair of the COVID-19 Handling Committee also admitted that he was saddened by people who carelessly accused the current government, especially President Jokowi. The saddest thing is, the students who are young intellectuals who are the nation's successors call 'Jokowi, the King of Lip Service'.

"I've seen a lot of Pak Jokowi abuse, even though after looking at the back it's not clear what this item is. Pak Jokowi's criticism says this, who is it? I'm sad for students. That's why I said we are seniors, don't educate our children the way we behaved. It's not good. We have to educate them to be good future generations. Don't because our ambitions are not achieved, then we invite young people to be damaged like us, "he explained.

The senior politician from the Golkar Party suggested that there should also be etiquette for the criticisms that were made.

"I think once in a while, especially since I'm 60 years old, 'Is it okay if I'm not angry, will it hurt'. That's why I said as a senior, let's reflect on if we can be role models in the community," he asked.

During his time in government, Luhut admitted that he often received unfavorable criticism.

"What did I lack? Wow. But I said as long as I didn't do anything, right, I really thought. My wife was the one who said 'Eh, Papa. When this is over, don't be ministers anymore, okay. Tired' I said 'Yes, 2024 I don't want it anymore'," said the man who was born on September 28, 1947.

He reiterated that in 2024 he was not willing to serve as minister. According to him, it is time for him to serve the country through other channels.

"I don't want to. (Already, red) I am 77 years old if God gives us a long life. We must know when it is time for us to stop. There are many other services," explained Luhut.

He reminded that serving the Indonesian state does not need to be president or minister. So there is no need for people to struggle and fuss because they have not or failed to become heads of state.

"So people have to be president so they can serve. Why wait to be president! Serving can be anything. If you don't become president you die right away? Don't you die with status? Bury with soil," said Luhut.
