Sad News From Bangka Belitung, COVID-19 Patients Who Died Reached 341 People

JAKARTA - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that four more COVID-19 patients died, bringing the total number of deaths due to the coronavirus to 341 people.

"The deaths of people who have confirmed COVID-19 in Babylon are 341 people or 1.54 percent of the total 22,149 cases," said the spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force for the Babel Islands Province, Andi Budi Prayitno in Pangkalpinang, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 6.

He said that after on Monday, July 5, two people were confirmed to have died of COVID-19 in Bangka and Belitung Regencies, today it was informed that four people died from the coronavirus, one person was spread across Bangka Regency, two West Bangka, and one person in Belitung.

"Today the four patients who died have been buried according to health protocols, to prevent the transmission of the virus," he said.

He explained that today there were 173 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which nationally puts the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands in 16th place in the daily addition of COVID-19 cases with a cumulative 22,149 people.

"This means that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week has increased compared to the previous week, where massive COVID-19 transmission is still occurring, especially in the cities of Pangkalpinang, Belitung, Bangka, Central Bangka, West Bangka, East Belitung and South Bangka," he said.

Likewise, the number of people who died from COVID-19 has also increased, with cases of deaths or people dying of COVID-19 occurring in Belitung Regency, South Bangka Regency, Bangka Regency, West Bangka Regency, Pangkalpinang City, Central Bangka Regency and East Belitung Regency.

"During July 1-5 2021, 957 positive cases of COVID-19 increased, 461 people recovered and 14 people died from COVID-19," he said.
