Kamaruddin died at around 07.46 WIB at Primaya Hospital, West Bekasi. Daeng said, Kamaruddin died while being confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"It's true, Pak Kamaruddin died when he tested positive for COVID-19," Daeng said in a short message to VOI, Tuesday, July 6.

Daeng said, Kamaruddin also had comorbidities or comorbidities. Thus, when contracting COVID-19, the symptoms worsened to the point of requiring intensive care before dying.

Previously, IDI noted that as of 27 June, 405 doctors had died. During the past month, as of June 1 to 27, 31 doctors died.
