Regency Government: Visiting Raja Ampat Must Show Vaccine Certificates That Can Be Downloaded At PeduliLindung

JAKARTA - The Raja Ampat Regency Government, West Papua Province issued a circular that obliges everyone who visits the area to have a certificate of having been vaccinated against COVID-19. If you have been vaccinated, this certificate can be downloaded in the PeduliLindung application.

Circular Letter number 440/377/Setda regarding the implementation of vaccinations as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Raja Ampat Regency officially took effect on July 3, 2021, and was supervised by the Police.

Raja Ampat Police Chief, AKBP Andre Julius William Manuputy in Waisai, Tuesday said that the policy was a mutual agreement to protect the district from the spread of COVID-19.

He explained that in Waisai, the capital of Raja Ampat Regency, 29 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 so that the entrance to Raja Ampat, especially the port, was tightened with a vaccination policy.

"Even though there are those who don't agree, it is still carried out as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially protecting Raja Ampat from the spread of the coronavirus," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 6.

His party appealed to the people of Raja Ampat who have not been vaccinated to be vaccinated immediately to protect themselves from the spread of COVID-19.

The Raja Ampat Regency Government Circular states that every citizen who wants to travel and come to the Raja Ampat area must have a COVID-19 vaccine certificate.

The circular letter was made based on Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2021, concerning Amendments to Presidential Regulation Number 99 of 2020 concerning Vaccine Procurement and Vaccination Implementation in the Context of Coping with COVID-19.

In addition, based on Presidential Decree Number 7 of 2020 concerning the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 and Minister of Health Regulation Number 9 of 2020 concerning Guidelines for Large-Scale Social Restrictions in the Context of Accelerating Handling of COVID-19.

The circular letter of the Raja Ampat Regency Government contains four points, namely (1) Every operator and user of sea and air transportation services are required to show a vaccine certificate or have implemented a COVID-19 vaccine. Then, (2) TNI, Polri, and ASN apparatus who want to travel using sea and land public transportation are required to show a certificate of having carried out the vaccine.

Then, (3) Everyone who is registered as a resident of Raja Ampat who refuses the vaccine will be subject to administrative sanctions, in the form of delay or termination of social assistance, suspension of government administration services, and or fines.

Then, (4) The process for recipients of BLT (direct cash assistance) for all communities in the Raja Ampat Regency area who have a history of internal disease is required to show a certificate from the RSUD/Puskesmas explaining that the person concerned cannot receive the vaccine.

5. Finish downloading, log out of the account or log out.

For those who have downloaded the vaccination certificate, it is advised not to share it on social media. This is because a lot of personal information is contained in the vaccination certificate.
