Emergency PPKM, KPK Cancels Law On Ministry Of Finance Undergoing Integrity Strengthening Program

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has canceled inviting the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) to carry out the Anti-Corruption Strengthening program for State Organizers with Integrity or PAKU Integrity which was previously scheduled.

This cancellation was carried out following the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) on the island of Java-Bali. This policy was taken after there has been a significant increase in COVID-19 cases recently.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati said that the anti-corruption commission would actually invite the ministry led by Sri Mulyani on Wednesday, July 7. However, this has been canceled and will be implemented when the emergency restrictions are declared over.

"The next schedule for PAKU Integrity activities is with the Ministry of Finance on July 7, 2021. With the implementation of Emergency PPKM, the schedule for PAKU Integrity activities has been postponed," Ipi told reporters, Monday, July 5.

"And it will be resumed after the Emergency PPKM," he added.

This program is an anti-corruption debriefing activity for state officials with husband and wife. It aims to build the integrity of state officials, including the awareness of those closest to them.

A number of ministries have carried out this preventive activity. One of them is the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

At that time, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono was present at the KPK Red and White Building, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta to participate in this program accompanied by his wife and other officials in his ministry.

"We at the KPK invite if he is an official, gentlemen, we invite the mothers. Because we want to encourage family-based corruption prevention and education," Alex said at a press conference held at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. .

He said the wives of these officials were asked to escort their husbands and guide their children in their homes to prevent corruption. Furthermore, at the end of the event, the wives present, including the wife of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, were asked to put a jacket on her husband.

"We asked the couple to put on a jacket that was worn by the Director General, the Minister (KKP, ed) to whisper while wearing the jacket, 'Sir, don't be corrupt, remember the family at home, give a good example for the children,' he said
