JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta Special Region Government recorded the number of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 on June 29, 2021, increasing by 850, bringing the total to 59,567 patients.

As reported by Antara, Tuesday, June 29, Spokesperson for the DIY Regional Government for Handling COVID-19 Berty Murtiningsih in a written statement in Yogyakarta, Tuesday said that based on the area of domicile, the 850 positive patients were mostly from Sleman reaching 284 people, followed by Bantul Regency 272 people, Yogyakarta City 188 people, Kulon Progo 64 people and Gunung Kidul 42 people.

Meanwhile, when referring to the case history, there were 672 patients who were contact tracing positive cases, five cases were screened by health employees, one trip outside the region, 147 self-checks, and 25 people who had no information.

In addition to positive patients, Berty also stated that 390 additional patients had recovered, bringing the total number of recovered COVID-19 cases in Yogyakarta to 48,182 people.

Based on the area of domicile, the 390 recovered patients consisted of 27 people from Yogyakarta City, 65 people from Bantul Regency, 67 people from Gunung Kidul, 21 people from Kulon Progo, and 210 people from Sleman Regency.
