Police Arrest Two Farmers In South Kalimantan For Circulating Drugs Of Meth And Ecstasy

JAKARTA - Two farmers in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) were arrested by the police for distributing methamphetamine and ecstasy drugs in their area of residence in Kintap District, Tanah Laut Regency.

"We confiscated 14.48 grams of evidence consisting of 21 packages of methamphetamine and seven red ecstasy pills with the letter A logo," explained Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Directorate of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Niko Irawan in Banjarmasin, reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 23.

The two suspects with the initials ZA (45) and SA (29) were arrested on Monday, June 21 at Ahmad Yani street Km 8 Simpang 3 Cekdam, Gardu Village, Tanah Laut District.

Initially, the police received information about drug trafficking in the local village. Then the Opsnal Team of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police conducted an investigation until it succeeded in detecting the two who were the targets of the operation.

The first suspect ZA was arrested at his home. Officers found evidence of 21 packages of methamphetamine ready to be circulated as well as seven pills of ecstasy which he claimed to be for sale.

Furthermore, the results of the development were arrested again by SA, which is a network in circulating illicit goods.

Niko revealed that drug trafficking has penetrated the countryside. For this reason, he reminded the public to be even more vigilant, especially parents so that they can supervise their children.

"We continue to develop this case in order to uncover the network of dealers above it who control these two farmers as sellers," said Niko on behalf of the Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police, Grand Commissioner Pol Tri Wahyudi.
