Lack Of Teachers And Medical Personnel In Jayawijaya Papua, Regent Intervenes

JAKARTA - The community of Tagime District, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province longs for teachers and medical personnel to help them.

Jayawijaya Regent, Jhon Richard Banua in Wamena, the capital of Jayawijaya Regency, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 23, admitted that he had directly listened to the complaints of the Tagime residents.

"We will order the relevant agencies to add honorary staff first, such as at schools and the Public Health because the community needs it", he said.

Jhon admitted that facilities such as Public Health and school buildings are available, but they are limited in manpower.

"We will add honorary staff who are children from the Tagime District so that they can help provide services at schools and health centers", he said.

Jhon said that so far health services to the community in the Tagime District are still being carried out by medical officers from the Bolakme District.

Based on Antara's observation, the shortage of teachers and medical personnel is almost felt by most of the people in the suburban districts.

For example in Itlay Hisage District. During the regent's visit there, the people conveyed their desire to get doctors because so far there were no doctors.
