Rizieq Shihab: O Smart And Intelligent Prosecutors, Judges Can't Be Dictated

JAKARTA - Former FPI High Priest, Habib Rizieq Shihab, loudly called all public prosecutors who tried him in the UMMI Hospital swab test case to be smart and intelligent.

"O smart and intelligent Prosecutors, please know that the Honorable Panel of Judges cannot be dictated by the Public Prosecutor and must only participate in the indictments that are included in the prosecution's demands, even the Honorable Panel of Judges has the absolute right to consider other indictments contained in the prosecutor's indictment, even though they are not included in the prosecution's demands", said Rizieq.

This is proven, continued Rizieq, in the case of violation of health protocols in Petamburan. In that case, the panel of judges decided that some of the charges were unproven, and decided on other charges.

"The prosecutor only included in his indictment the first and fifth indictments, but it turns out that the panel of judges in the Petamburan case actually decided on the third indictment which was not proven and was not included by the prosecutor in the jury of the prosecutor's claim", said Rizieq.

For that reason, Rizieq in his pleading denied all the charges in the swab test case at the UMMI Hospital. Moreover, he assumed all the charges never happened.

In fact, in his replica, Rizieq also reminded the prosecutors not to dictate to the panel of judges.

"The Prosecutor should not pretentiously arrange for a noble panel of judges, he must take this charge and not take that charge, because the honorable panel of judges is free to take any indictment, even free to reject all charges and is free to release the accused from all charges and instructions", he said.
