A Homosexual Teacher Harasses Junior High School Students In Padang Panjang, Finally Arrested By Police

JAKARTA - The Padang Panjang Police, West Sumatra, arrested a teacher with the initials (MS) from a junior high school on suspicion of sexual harassment of students.

MS was arrested on suspicion of molesting his own student who was still a minor. The perpetrator (MS) is suspected of carrying out his actions in December 2020.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Padang Panjang Police, First Inspector Ferly P Marasin said the teacher was arrested based on police report number: LP/105/V/REN.4.2./2021/SPKT UNIT II Padang Panjang Police on May 25.

"The perpetrator (MS) is suspected of having committed lewd acts to male students 3 times. In the time span from December 2020 to January 2021," he said, as quoted from a written statement by Padang Panjang Police Public Relations, Monday, June 14.

The perpetrator when interrogated by the police admitted that masturbation can increase self-confidence. The victim succumbed to his persuasion. The perpetrator said that he had carried out obscene acts by helping the victim to masturbate.

Sexual violence was committed several times. This teacher asked the victim to masturbate 3 times.

The perpetrator of MS was finally arrested on June 10. The perpetrator is currently being held in the custody of Padang Panjang Police Station.

For his actions, the teacher is charged with Article 82 Paragraph (1), Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 76 E of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Stipulation of Government regulations in lieu of law (Perpu) Number 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
