New Breakthrough! Subdistricts In Kediri Gives IDR 10 Million To Campaign For COVID-19 Vaccination

KEDIRI - Ngronggo Village, Kediri City, East Java, made a breakthrough by giving a prize of Rp10 million to RWs with high citizen participation in the COVID-19 vaccination participation campaign.

Ngronggo Village Head Heru Sugiarto said that getting people to participate in vaccination was difficult and easy. Especially for ordinary people who are not familiar with the term COVID-19 vaccination.

"We racked our brains, looking for effective solutions to achieve the vaccination target in Ngronggo Village. This benefit will also be shared later. We are trying to get rid of this pandemic as soon as possible," said Heru in Kediri, as quoted by Antara, Friday, June 11.

He admitted that this effort also received support from the Kediri City COVID-19 Handling Task Force. In total there were prizes of Rp10 million in the competition held between RWs in Ngronggo Village.

Heru said that the clean and healthy environment competition at the sub-district level targets three main points, including clean COVID-19, clean the environment, and clean drugs. The assessment will take place on June 26.

"Cleaning competitions, one of the main indicators is the number of residents who have participated in vaccinations in one RW environment, the more residents who want to be vaccinated, the higher the score will be," he continued.

In addition, there are other criteria that also contribute to the score in the assessment of the competition.

"In addition to vaccines, there are also assessment criteria such as a clean environment from mosquito larvae, infectious diseases, and not to be left behind from drugs as well, in line with the Ngronggo shining program," said Heru.

His party also continues to socialize and educate residents about the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, either directly, through WhatsApp groups, to local Family Welfare Programme (PKK) cadres.

The breakthrough was also welcomed positively, one of which was Retno Wulansari, a cadre in RT 1 RW 1 Ngronggo Village.

"Very supportive, a good breakthrough, as well as being able to educate the public to follow the vaccine, that the vaccine is safe and halal," said Retno.

She hopes that more people will want to be vaccinated.

"The more people who want to be vaccinated, the more likely we are to be free from the pandemic," she said.

In Ngronggo Village, at least 600 people consisting of public servants and the elderly have been registered as recipients of the COVID-19 vaccination carried out by the southern region health center. The data will continue to grow until the overall target is achieved.
