JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government targets that the initial handling of cases of violence against women and children can be done within a maximum of 1x24 hours from the time the report is received.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized that his party was ready to carry out all the agreements that had been prepared in the program.

According to Pramono, the acceleration of response to victim reports must be followed by inter-institutional service integration so that handling can be carried out comprehensively, from the complaint process to follow-up assistance.
"No less important is the thorough integration so that the service can be 100 percent complete. Then also digitization, then also the sustainability of accompaniment if the victim really needs accompaniment," he said.
Pramono admitted that cases of violence against women and children in Jakarta are still high even though they show a downward trend in the last two years. Therefore, according to him, the existence of integrated services is considered important to accelerate handling while ensuring that victims obtain their rights in full.
"And this in the field in Jakarta is indeed needed because Jakarta is one of the victims of women and children, which is quite high, even though it has decreased in 2025 and 2026. But in principle, once again the DKI Jakarta government welcomes this appointment and at the same time a pilot to become a role model for the agreement that has been agreed upon together," said Pramono.
Continuing, Minister for the Empowerment of Women and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifah Fauzi explained that so far victims of violence often face a convoluted reporting process because they have to move from one agency to another to get the services they need.
"We see that this old system makes the victim take a long time. He has to move from one agency to another. Then in this Presidential Decree, we are trying to make a trial of how when the victim experiences violence, he just comes to one place and the service will approach him," said Arifah.
According to Arifah, the simplification of services is one of the main objectives of the program so that victims are not burdened again when seeking protection and assistance.
