JAKARTA - Attorney General ST Burhanuddin officially appointed Setiawan Budi Cahyono as the Head of the High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) Bali to replace Chatarina Muliana in the inauguration ceremony which took place at the Main Building of the Attorney General's Office, Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

In his message, Burhanuddin emphasized that the rotation and promotion of positions in the Attorney General's Office is not just a bureaucratic formality, but a sacred moment that binds the oath of allegiance to God, society, and the state.

Setiawan Budi Cahyono, who previously served as Director IV at the Attorney General's Office for Intelligence, is now trusted to head the Bali High Prosecutor's Office based on the Attorney General's Decree Number 347 of 2026.

Meanwhile, Chatarina Muliana switched tasks to become Head of the Asset Search and Seizure Management Center. The Attorney General specifically asked the new officials to immediately adapt to the speed of the times. "Immediately leave the old work patterns in the face of the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0," said Burhanuddin in front of the ranks of officials who were inaugurated.

According to Burhanuddin, the current mastery of digital space is a must for the prosecutor's institution. This is crucial so that the institution is able to control public narratives through accurate facts and data to counteract disinformation on social media.

Apart from the technology aspect, the issue of integrity remains the main focus. The Attorney General ensured that he would not give any form of tolerance, including promotions, for those who had been caught up in disciplinary punishment.

Furthermore, he requires the heads of work units to carry out inherent supervision of their members to maintain the integrity of the institution. Burhanuddin hopes that prosecutors will work with high moral standards beyond the demands of the position.

"Give your best, not because of the demands of the position, but as a manifestation of integrity and self-respect. Show performance that not only meets the target, but leaves a meaningful legacy of service," he added bluntly.

In addition to appointing the Bali Kajati, the ceremony also marked the inauguration of 29 other level II officials who will strengthen the ranks of law enforcement in various institutions, both at the central and regional levels. This strategic step is expected to be a driving force for the transformation of the prosecutor's office to be more modern, transparent, and high integrity in serving the community.
