JCI Was Closed On Friday, Weakening 0.27 Percent To 4,597.43 Levels

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed lower on Friday, May 8 trading. JCI closed down slightly 0.27 percent or 11.36 points to 4,597.43.

Closing the trade, there were 181 stocks strengthened, 201 stocks fell, and 155 stocks were stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 8.18 billion shares and was transacted at IDR 6.53 trillion.

The most actively traded stocks were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) for 16,079 times valued at IDR537.2 billion, followed by PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) for 18,640 times for IDR86.4 billion, and PT Adaro Energy. Tbk (ADRO) as much as 16,819 times, valued at IDR144.9 billion.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) which rose 19.42 percent to Rp246, PT Bumi Benowo Sukses Sejahtera Tbk (BBSS) which rose 13.13 percent to IDR181, and PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMFI) which strengthened 12.00 percent to IDR84.

Meanwhile, stocks that are among the top losers include PT Buyung Poetra Sembada Tbk (HOKI) which weakened 6.04 percent to IDR700, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) which weakened 5.84 percent to IDR1,210, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Agroniaga Tbk (AGRO), which fell 4.13 percent to Rp116.
