Nusantara Airport Will Boost PAD Penajam Regency Government

PENAJAM PASER UTARA - Penajam Paser Utara Regency Government (Pemkab), East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim), is optimistic that the existence of Nusantara Airport can boost local revenue (PAD) in this district known as Benuo Taka.

"In the future, the Nusantara Airport can boost the district's PAD," said Penajam Paser Utara Regent Muhammad Zainal Arifin, in Penajam, Saturday.

The airport supporting the transportation of the City of Nusantara, the new capital city of Indonesia, was built in the Kelurahan Pantai Lango and Gersik Village, Penajam District, North Penajam Paser Regency.

The existence of Nusantara Airport, according to him, can add PAD from the Land and Building Tax sector, as well as others from the transportation service licensing sector and so on.

With an overview of the opportunities for income from the development of Nusantara City infrastructure in Sepaku District and in the sub-district, the North Penajam Paser Regency Government will increase the PAD target by 2025.

PAD Penajam Paser Utara Regency from the tax sector includes Land and Building Taxes (PBB), Land and Building Rights Obtainment Fees (BPHTB), swallows, water in the ground, billboards, hotels, restaurants and others.

"Pungutan PAD sektor pajak ditangani langsung Badan Pendapatan Daerah (Bapenda)," katanya pula.

Then in the retribution sector, including parking, port fees, garbage and others, he said, levies were handled by technical agencies such as port levies handled by the Transportation Service (Dishub).

"We ask the technical office to maximize regional potential so that the PAD target can be achieved," he said again.

PAD Penajam Paser Utara Regency in 2025 was determined with the local district government and regional people's representative council (DPRD) approximately Rp211 billion.

"The PAD target has increased by around Rp. 19 billion compared to the PAD target in 2023 which is only around Rp. 191 billion," said Muhammad Zainal Arifin.
