Prabowo Supports Trump's 20-Point Plan for Palestine, King Abdullah: The Weight of Indonesian Politics is Very Important

AMMAN - In front of President Prabowo Subianto, the leader of Jordan, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, launched praise that also contained expectations: Indonesia is considered to have "political weight" and "economic strength" that is important for major projects in the region.

King Abdullah at Aman Jordan, Wednesday, February 25, called Prabowo's commitment "very brave" to protect the people of Gaza, and is waiting for discussions on how to help "brothers" there.

Prabowo responded with a firm position, but left questions about the policy behind it. He said Indonesia would do whatever it could to find a "lasting" solution, and said the only way was a two-state solution with an independent Palestine.

Interestingly, Prabowo linked this commitment to a forum and plan that he explicitly mentioned. Indonesia joined the "Board of Peace" and supported Donald Trump's "20-point plan". This support, said Prabowo, was carried out as part of an effort to achieve a permanent solution, without detailing the limits, mandates, or political consequences of the choice.

Prabowo also expressed his gratitude for King Abdullah's support for "our contingent". He emphasized that Jordan is the party "closest to the Gaza problem" and hopes that closer cooperation can strengthen the common position because, according to him, Indonesia and Jordan "are on the same footing" as other countries in the region.

However, Prabowo gave another emphasis that was no less sharp: the West Bank. He admitted that he was "very concerned" and assessed that the situation there could affect the success of any steps in Gaza. Therefore, he wants to increase the coordination of the two countries' teams to continue to monitor the situation and "know exactly what will happen".

At the end of his statement, Prabowo closed with a reciprocal offer of support, that Indonesia wants to help Jordan in its efforts. A signal that the cooperation built is not stopped at the symbol, but directed at closer operational steps.
