Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Is Being Used Only 35.7 Percent

JAKARTA - There has been a reduction in the occupancy rate of COVID-19 patient beds at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital Kemayoran today. Currently, the utilization reaches 35.7 percent, so there is 64.3 percent of beds are not occupied by patients.

Head of Information for Defense Area Joint Command I (Kogabwilhan I), Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said that as of today, there are 4 people who have just left the Wisma Atlet as COVID-19 isolation patients.

"Inpatients at the Wisma Atlet Hospital are 2.144 people from 5.994 bed capacities. Initially, there were 2.148 people being treated and today, one person has been discharged", said Aris in his statement, Wednesday, June 2.

The details, there are 1.114 women and 1.030 men. They are undergoing isolation in Towers 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital.

So, since the beginning it was used as a place of isolation on March 23, 2020, until now, the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Hospital has been treating 86.205 coronavirus patients.

"There were 84.061 patients discharged, with details of 83.092 recovered patients, 881 were referred to other hospitals, and 88 people died", he said.

Currently, all isolation patients being treated at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital are people who have symptoms of COVID-19, both mild and moderate.

Meanwhile, patients with asymptomatic categories undergo isolation at Wisma Atlet Quarantine Pademangan. This hospital is also used as a repatriation/Migrant Workers (PMI) isolation place. Towers 8, 9, and 10 of Wisma Atlet Pademangan currently have 4.160 inpatients.

"Today, there is a reduction in 131 patients undergoing isolation at Wisma Atlet Pademangan. Yesterday, 4.291 patients were hospitalized", he concluded.
