In Addition To Battery Inventory Space, Terra Drone's 1st Floor Is A Mapping Warehouse

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro revealed, the 1st floor of the Terra Drone Indonesia office, which is located in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, is an inventory room and a mapping warehouse, where the fire started for the first time due to the falling Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery.

"The fire is known to come from the 1st floor, to be precise, the inventory room or a mapping warehouse, where the Lithium Polymer (LiPo) type drone battery is stored," said Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro to reporters, Friday, December 12, 2025.

Susatyo also explained, based on the results of the examination of witnesses at the scene, it was known that before the fire occurred, two batteries were damaged and fell.

The battery that fell was a LiPo drone battery with a capacity of 30,000 mAh.

"Witnesses at the location said two batteries were damaged and emitted sparks from their connectors, which then grabbed another battery and triggered a chain reaction or thermal runaway so that the fire immediately grew in seconds," he said.

Previously, on the 1st floor of the Terra Drone office there were high-risk items, making it very possible for very fast fire propagation.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Police Susatyo Purnomo Condro explained that the results of the analysis by the National Police Labfor Team revealed that the storage of batteries on the Indonesian Terra Drone was carried out in a very dangerous and non-standard manner.

"The storage space is only 2\times2 meters in size, without ventilation or fire-resistant protection. Meanwhile, the batteries were damaged, piled up to three flats along with used batteries and healthy batteries," he said.

In addition, the police also did not find any standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to handling flammable materials.
